Some days are harder to think of something to be thankful for that day than others, at least for the adults. The boys usually don't have to think at all about something good they're thankful for that day, while my husband and I have to think a minute, trying to think of something "good" to be thankful for as if we didn't know for the past 24 hours we were going to have to say something we're thankful for.

He is always this happy, but this is a rare picture of him actually wearing clothes. |
GE recently was able to start understanding what we were doing and joining us in listing his thankfuls. Usually, he will say "Bee" (his blanket), "Da" (his brother), "Da-dor" (tractors), or "Bock-bocks" (chickens), but lately he has been a little more creative.
The other night, after his brother said his thankful and my husband and I thought for awhile and said ours, it was GE's turn.
"What are you thankful for today?" my husband asked him.
"Ketchup!" he blurted out happily, beaming from ear to ear. He was so proud and happy to be thankful for ketchup.
It was just a fun reminder to be thankful for the little things. Like condiments.
