Chicken Catching Lessons

GD recently turned 4.  He was very certain on how he wanted to celebrate his birthday.  The theme he chose for his party was "Planes, tractors, monster trucks, chicken catching, and donut holes." (I couldn't fit all of that on his cake)

The main activity of the party was going to be chicken catching lessons.

GD decided a few weeks ago, after discovering his prowess in catching chickens, that it was his duty to the world to pass on this elite ability.  After rounding up all 12 chickens to put in the coops for the night by himself he told me, "If there are other little kids who don't know how to catch chickens they can come to ours house and I will give them chicken-catching lessons."

And so his first business plan was hatched.
At first he was just going to give these lessons out of the goodness of his heart as a service to the community.  But then as he was planning his future farm and realizing that he was going to need funds, he decided that he would give lessons for a fee.

He has gone to great lengths to plan these chicken-catching lessons.  He has selected the most mild chickens to teach with, had them practice being caught, and even made signs.  He practices to improve his chicken-catching skills everyday and he really is quite good at it; I usually don't even bother trying to round up the chickens myself anymore, I just have him do it.

The chicken-catching lessons at his birthday party were given free-of-charge to his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.  And by the end of the lessons his cousins were grasping the chickens with ease and even his aunt held one.

GD still has openings for these unique lessons.  If you or anyone you know is interested in mastering such a skill, please contact GD's secretary to set up your first session.
